a short local theatre run of a play i was in finished a few days ago and i'm going to miss it so much. spending 3 evenings each week rehearsing, making art with real people in-person, was so nice. i really needed it. anyway sorry for the little unannounced hiatus, more audio coming this week.

i went and asked them about this. they are an expert specifically in portable neolithic and bronze age phallic sculptures, and they said: "Probably sometimes they sniggered while they were carving. Generally it is considered that it is quite a fertile and potent symbol, but *definitely* sometimes they did it just because it was funny." so you can take that to the bank

How come whenever archeologists find a scupture with a giant penis they're like "ah. This must have been a fertility god". Surely they can't all he fertility idols. At least one of them must exist because the sculptor thought that making a bigass dick would be funny.

i really truly cannot stand the trend of CoNtEnT cReAtOrS holding lavalier microphones instead of clipping them on. if you want to hold your microphone that’s fine, but why not simply get a mic that’s designed to be used that way???

@palilious_ mm. yes, it was funny when it was original, but now when i see it all i can think is “you’re only doing that because you saw other youtubers do it, aren’t you?”. reminds me of when everybody was doing transitions by putting their palm right up to the camera.

@PhasmidASMR alternative take, getting a clip on mic but clipping it to a random object like a dvd or a book or a plant and holding it is objectively funny
