In honor of Women’s History Month, we are celebrating Kimberly Fletcher a woman whose heart for her family ignited a movement that has touched millions. Kimberly Fletcher, the Founder and President of Moms for America, didn’t start out looking to lead a national organization. She was a mom, a wife, and a patriot who, in the wake of the 9/11 attacks while her husband was stationed at the Pentagon, felt a deep, stirring call to protect the country her children would inherit. What began as a small gathering of 27 women in a Dayton, Ohio, living room in 2004 has blossomed into a powerful sisterhood of over 500,000 mothers across all 50 states. Kimberly’s journey from "patriotic" to "patriot" is a beautiful reminder that one woman's devotion can change the world. Beyond her leadership, Kimberly is a gifted storyteller and author. In her books like Remembering the Ladies and WOMEN: America’s Last Best Hope, she beautifully weaves together the stories of the forgotten women who helped build our nation, reminding us that our influence as mothers and women is immeasurable. Kimberly’s life's work is rooted in a simple, profound truth: The greatest act of patriotism a mother can perform starts within the walls of her own home. Today, we honor Kimberly Fletcher for her courage, her faith, and her unwavering belief in the power of a mother’s love.

The Daughters of the American Revolution has long stood as an organization created by and for women — a place where women could preserve history, promote patriotism, and honor the sacrifices of our forefathers through their own leadership and service. Now we learn that Daughters of the American Revolution is accepting biological males. This completely defeats the original purpose. Women built this institution. Women sustained it. Women organized it. It exists because there was a time when women were not allowed in the male-led patriotic societies — so they created their own. That matters. If men wish to organize around Revolutionary ancestry, they absolutely can — the Sons of the American Revolution already exists for that very reason. As women mobilize and lead, we should not see those spaces slowly taken over or redefined. Preserving women’s institutions is not exclusion — it is honoring their history and protecting their future. We can respect both men and women without erasing the distinction between them. History matters. Purpose matters. Women’s spaces matter.
