A little question for the Call of Duty community from my most recent commentary. Why are so many people content with the BARE MINIMUM instead of fighting for the Black Ops ports to be the best they can be?

Activision released an update for Call of Duty: Black Ops on PS4 & PS5 last night to begin addressing the XP exploits

Watching the COD community defend terrible peer-to-peer servers, horrible hit detection, and constant desync is depressing. Being against functional servers in the Black Ops ports is such an idiotic take.

Call of Duty have released the first phase of a fix to address people exploiting XP in the Black Ops port on PS4 and PS5. Hackers were giving players negative XP, making them unable to play the game. This has been fixed and those players have been reset to lvl 20. I did not think Activision would support these ports post launch but I’m very happy to be wrong about that. They say more mitigations are coming with future updates

Crazy how fast they got a handle on this exploit! They aren't messing around with these Black Ops ports!!

📢 Call of Duty: #BlackOps on PS4/PS5 The first phase of a fix to address an issue impacting player XP has been deployed. • Playlists have been updated with a server-side fix. • Players with negative XP have been reset to Level 20 so they can begin progressing again. Additional mitigations will continue to roll out in future updates to further reduce these issues.
