Interesting read. And I’m a cyclist. But I’m often in London these days doing 20mph on empty roads being overtaken by cyclists late at night as I travel home. At busy times they often don’t stick to the cycle lanes as faster riders want to overtake (above 20mph again), they go through red lights & do not abide by road laws. It’s mayhem & dangerous. Why not have a registration plate for cyclists too & apply the same laws as drivers, we share the same roads after all? A bike should not offer immunity.

There's a new plague of book "marketers" reaching out to authors by writing emails that are clearly AI-generated. They send a first feeler email that "praises" your work, and they hope you'll engage.
Don't.
In a world where people are searching for human connections, this is such an unethical and manipulative practice.
It's one more example of how AI has the potential to do interpersonal harm and compromise our way of being with one another.
It must stop.

I'll never understand those who go to a museum, snap a cell-phone pic of a painting, and rush away. Today I watched hundreds of people do this with Van Gogh's The Starry Night, and not one paused to experience the image. Art is waiting to change us, if we slow down and let it.
