@KnicksMuse I was excited and hopeful in ‘94 (and distracted by the NYR Cup) I was surprised and felt we were playing with House money in ‘99; Getting to watch last night’s game (and post-game) with my 3 boys hits so different and so much deeper. Of course, I’m hopeful and excited again

For me, and I’m sure many of you, this is the first time we’ll see the Knicks in the NBA Finals. Going to be surreal.

Name a Knick from 2000-2025 who helped you pass the time between NBA Finals appearances

@_leeescobedo Lots there that I was happy to forget. Would give shoutouts to David Lee, Tyson Chandler and Julius Randle for carrying big loads, at times, without much help.

Are the 2026 Knicks a more talented roster than the 1999 Knicks? 1999: Ward/Childs, Ewing, Camby, LJ, Houston, Sprewell, Kurt Thomas 2026: Brunson, KAT, Mitch, OG, Hart, Bridges, Deuce, Shamet Tough call.

@DylanBackerESM I moved to Seattle 11 years ago and have worn a lot of Knicks gear during the playoffs (each year). The number of reactions I’ve recieved over the last two or three weeks, vs the last 3 seasons, is remarkable.

Wore my Knicks hoodie to the grocery store today. A middle aged guy walked up and complimented my hoodie, and then started talking to me about the 90s Knicks and how good they were. He said Anthony Mason was his favorite player. That small encounter made me realize that this is the first time since that era that the Knicks have been anything serious. We’ve really come a long way.

@michaelkasdan Though I’ve recently wondered if the ‘99 team might have had a different result if JVG had realized he had a roster that would have done well with high volume 3s and short range 2s.

@TommyBeer Agree. This team has 7 guys who can easily score double digits any given night, maybe 8 guys. Even the competitive 90s teams barely played 8 guys a game.

🚨 New Words 🚨 This is the best month of basketball the Knicks have played in 50 years. This is their most complete squad since the title teams of the early 1970s. That’s not hyperbole or prisoner-of-the-moment overreaction. That’s fact. 📬 Freshly Delivered to Inboxes 📬

If you weren't there for the dark ages of: • Chris Duhon • Howard Eisley • Glen Rice • Shandon Anderson • Clarence Weatherspoon • Malik Rose • Jared Jeffries • Renaldo Balkman Then today’s success doesn’t mean as much to you. We really survived the shit of the shit.

@PhilBezanson @MattPiperJenks the rangers did not have anything to do with the knicks' loss. the knicks scored 91 points in each of their three wins versus the rockets. ewing and starks struggled in the series. the knicks did not have any offensive weapons once you got past ewing and starks.

@wwestockholder @MattPiperJenks Yes. So close. But the team was still in its ascendancy/prime and with no Jordan in the League, it seemed a title was bound to happen. Post-97, it felt like the team had missed its chance. ‘94 Finals were also unusual because the Rangers winning was a big distraction.

@MattPiperJenks @PhilBezanson 1994 was the knicks most devastating season. they should have won the title. riley messed up by keeping starks on the court in game 7. rolando blackman was sitting on the bench. the knicks lost game 7 by a lousy 6 points.
