Having devoted the last 3 months of my life to fighting to #SaveWNO - blackmailed &threatened into silence by this very organisation - I have no words for this insincere & deeply hypocritical outpouring. 🤬 @lisanandy cannot resume the inquiry into @ace_national fast enough.

I have no doubt @LibDemPress are already on it, but a reminder to all the broadcasters and media that the @LibDems are now clearly the 3rd Party so let’s see and hear less of Parties with only 5 MPs, and much more of a Party with 72 MPs.

@jjohnstonmezzo I see the argument, “receives the most funding” quite a bit, but it never seems to take into account a per capita of employed person… opera costs more because it uses a higher number of people than other art forms per production. That is a metric we don’t see.

Please sign this petition demanding that @EDCouncil properly tackles road safety before we have any more death on our roads. Many incidents on our roads would be avoidable with proper infrastructure for walking and cycling, and traffic calming. change.org/p/immediate-ac…

One of the very few Grade I listed bike sheds in the uk: @St_Catz. Built by Arne Jacobsen in the 1960s. Fond memories of using it for my little Raleigh Hercules bike!

@SevernSearcher @Peston @chedwardes I’d guess that; a) You’re hearing about them because they’re famous; Joe Bloggs from the next town over isn’t going to get much publicity. b) Because they have an amount of celebrity, they have greater opportunity - more money, more access, etc.

Watching the Ch4 doc reminded me that @chedwardes wrote this about Russell Brand in her Evening Standard column in January 2019, after Brand told the Sunday Times he supported #MeToo

@PhilGault We can never guarantee air-con as faults can occasionally occur. Crew can open windows on our Class 334 trains which serve Milngavie if they've established an air-con failure. ^Paul

@scotrail What’s the point in having the windows on the train locked “because we have air conditioning” if you don’t actually turn the aircon on? On a 27° afternoon (outside, not in a metal tube in the sun… considerably hotter onboard)

@ScotRail Also, that doesn’t solve the problem… either guarantee aircon or allow us to open the windows. Locking them is ridiculous

@PhilGault Hi, sorry the carriage temp is uncomfortable. It might be worth moving to another carriage as each carriage has its own separate air-con unit and it may be cooler elsewhere on the train. ^Paul
