Africa cannot afford to keep importing policies and frameworks that do not serve our best interests. From rejecting harmful technologies and lopsided digital deals to developing our own independent systems, true progress begins when we take ownership of our policies. #cafpra

The thing with African stock markets is that most of the companies that are listed have majority of shareholding concentrated with a few individuals mostly owners of the Company and a smaller stake is held by the public. The stock market is a mechanism that is supposed to create opportunities for ordinary individuals to create some form of wealth.

I did a small research with @Grok on majority shareholding on some major companies in Africa and compared them to those in the US. My hypotheses is that the structural (shareholder) setup of our capital markets in Africa tells the huge story of how come not so many people have created wealth from these markets, our capital markets need a major shift in shareholding structures to allow broader participation which in turn will afford people the opportunity to generate wealth from our capital markets. What are your thoughts? Note: ●Concentrated control in the Zambian/African industrial & telecom examples (Zambia Sugar, Airtel Zambia, MTN Zambia, Dangote) — often via foreign/multinational parents or founders. ●Dispersed/institutional ownership in the big global tech/telecom names (Tesla, MTN Group parent, Microsoft) — typical of large public companies, with index funds (Vanguard/BlackRock) leading but no single controller. Zambian pensions (e.g., NAPSA) appear as notable local institutional holders where free RESULTS. Zambian/Local Companies (LuSE-listed or operating in Zambia) Zambia Sugar Plc (ZSUG): Clear majority/controlling shareholder — Associated British Foods Plc (ABF) / Wittington Investments Limited (via ABF Sugar / Illovo) holds 75%. Second-largest: National Pension Scheme Authority (NAPSA) at ~9.73%. Remaining ~15% is free float/general public. Top 3 shareholders control ~84.7%. Stable structure for years. Airtel Networks Zambia Plc (ATEL): Strong controlling stake by Bharti Airtel Limited (via subsidiary) at 93.9%. Remaining ~6.1% is free float (institutions + individuals), with notable smaller holders like Saturnia Regna Pension Trust (~1.08%). Very low free float; tight parent control. MTN Zambia: Wholly owned subsidiary (100% effective ownership) of MTN Group Limited (South African parent). Not publicly listed; no local minority shareholders or free float for the Zambian entity itself. Ownership flows through the group structure. Dangote Industries Limited (Dangote Group, including operations like cement in Zambia): Privately held conglomerate. Aliko Dangote (founder, President & CEO) is the ultimate majority/controlling owner (family interests dominate; exact % not publicly disclosed as it's private). No dispersed public ownership. Global/Publicly Traded Tech & Telecom Giants (No majority shareholder >50%) Tesla, Inc. (TSLA): No majority owner. Elon Musk (CEO & co-founder) is the largest individual shareholder at approximately 24–28% (figures vary by inclusion of options/awards; recent reports cite ~24.86% or up to 28%). Institutions dominate the rest: Vanguard (~6.9%), BlackRock (~4.3%), State Street (~3.1%), etc. Wide retail/institutional distribution.bcb393 MTN Group Limited (parent of MTN Zambia; JSE-listed): No majority owner. Largest shareholder: Public Investment Corporation (PIC) SOC Ltd (South African government-related) at ~19.94–20%. Next: Mikati Family (~5.94%), followed by Capital Research, Ninety One, Vanguard, etc. Top shareholders collectively hold ~50–56%; diversified institutional ownership. Microsoft Corporation (MSFT): No majority owner. Institutions heavily dominate (~70–80%+). Largest: Vanguard Group at ~9.67%. Followed by BlackRock (~8.11%), State Street (~4.12%), etc. Largest individual: Steve Ballmer (former CEO) at ~4.49%. Bill Gates holds ~1.34% or less (significantly reduced via donations). Broad passive/index fund ownership.

KNOW AND WORSHIP HIM AS LORD* That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved (Romans 10:9). Until you come to terms with who the Lord Jesus really is, you can’t serve Him or walk with Him. As long as He is to you “the Son of God” without a definition, He remains abstract, and you won’t relate with Him rightly. Even the way many address Him reveals what they know. There’s a difference between talking about Him and talking to Him. You can say “Jesus” when you’re talking about Him, but when you’re talking to Him, you address Him as Lord. After His resurrection and ascension, no one ever addressed Him casually as Jesus but as Lord Jesus. When you know Him, you recognise His lordship. Some people say Jesus appeared to them, but if they truly saw Him, there would be a change in their reverence and honour. Saul of Tarsus had an encounter on the road to Damascus. A light struck him down, and he heard a voice calling his name: “...Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?” (Acts 9:4). His response was immediate: “...Who art thou, Lord?...” (Acts 9:5). He recognised that the One who manifested such power could only be the Lord. When the Lord answered, “...I am Jesus whom thou persecutest...” (Acts 9:5), Saul didn’t respond by addressing Him casually. From then on, he related to Him as Lord. The same truth is seen in the experience of John. In Revelation 1:17, he says, “And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead....” This was the glorified Christ. Power was present, and John fell under that manifestation. Then the Lord laid His right hand upon him and spoke words of blessing: “...Fear not; I am the first and the last” (Revelation 1:17). When you recognise Him as Lord, your fellowship with Him becomes richer. Your reverence deepens. Your consciousness of His glory increases. And you discover that even with a few words, your prayer becomes full of power because you’re relating with Him as He truly is: the Lord Jesus Christ. *PRAYER* Dear Father, thank you for unveiling to me the reality of the lordship of Jesus Christ. I honour Him with reverence, and I relate with Him with the consciousness of His glory, majesty and authority. My fellowship with Him is deep and rich, and I walk in the power of His Name and the dominion of His Kingdom, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. FURTHER STUDY Philippians 2:9-11 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Acts 2 :36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ. 1 Corinthians 8:6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him. Acts 10 :36 The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:) *DAILY SCRIPTURE READING* *1-Year Bible Reading Plan:* John 6:60-71 & 1 Kings 12-14 *2-Year Bible Reading Plan:* 1 Corinthians 9:1-10 & Proverbs 10 #RhapsodyMay14

Free access to education for all is great, but it's just one step. We need infrastructure to deliver quality education. Without this the law will not be effective. Our schools have to be heavily funded.

If your work is physically and mentally taxing, then your body does not need those energy drinks for it to function at optimal levels. Replace them with fruits. Fruits will give you the hydration boost, help with muscle function and recovery, you will better brain health and will supply you with sustained energy without crashes. You body will feel great. This will greatly help you in maintaining a strong, functional body weight suited to high physical demands rather than excess fat gain.

Jesus was truly the Son of God as He claimed. He was eternal life encased in a human body. He was God’s love tabernacled in human flesh. He’s exactly who He claimed to be: the Christ, the true God and eternal life. When you know Him by revelation, your conviction becomes firm,

Jordan Peterson on Elon Musk: “Musk isn’t just a creative genius. He’s also an extremely conscientious engineer… probably one person in a hundred million — maybe even a billion.” He described Musk as this rare combination: hyper-creative and hyper-conscientious. The kind of engineer who doesn’t just have ideas — he understands how to build them out of atoms. That level of drive comes with a heavy mental load — the “storm” Musk himself has talked about. We often romanticize genius without seeing the real price that comes with it. I’ve always found it fascinating how the people who move the world the most usually carry the heaviest internal load. What do you think — isn’t it impressive how Elon Musk carries that burden while still pushing humanity forward with SpaceX, Tesla, and so much more?

Last month, God clearly told me: “Get a serious office.” I started slowly — buying appliances, a few pieces of furniture here and there. Not with full fire. Just little by little🤷🏿‍♂️ But last week, boom — international clients landed with a solid contract. And guess what? Closing it included a formal discourse from my #PeaceOfMindPackage office. Imagine if I had ignored that instruction. I’d be somewhere crying, blaming village people and witchcraft! 😂 for missing out on the deal. A wise man once said: “Luck is simply opportunity meeting preparedness.” I almost got caught slipping. Never again. From now on, when God speaks, I move fast and with purpose. No more half-measures. Lesson: Obedience today is your open door tomorrow. What looks like “extra” preparation right now might be the very thing that positions you for the breakthrough knocking at your door. Stay ready. God is always up to something. I’m DiCAPITALE. To be continued… 🔥
