I honestly cannot stress this enough but please start living & enjoying your life. Your life is passing by daily and all you’re doing is working, paying bills, & overthinking stuff you can't change. Start taking trips and treating yourself. Have fun with this life. You only get 1

This is true and well documented. This was in a conversation with Menachem Begin, Israel's Prime Minister. The scale of civilian deaths caused global outrage. This was Israel directly targeting civilians BEFORE Hezbollah was formed! Thousands of civilians were killed, and even under Reagan's PRO-Israel administration, the death toll and destruction were too much. What did Begin do? He reacted defensively (Surprise! Surprise!) and reminded Reagan of Jewish suffering during World War II. This was in 1982 , WWII had been over for 37 years, but it was used to justify new atrocities. Anyway, Reagan eventually pressured Israel into a ceasefire in September 1982. Remember, the Siege of Beirut, where thousands of civilians were killed by Israel, came first. Hezbollah was formed thereafter. I I recommend Noam Chomsky's The Fateful Triangle; Patrick Sloyan's book - I forget the name but he won a Pulitzer Prize -and Robert Fisk also wrote a book called "Pity The Nation". We must read, speak to people, and search for knowledge. Otherwise, villains will continue manipulating us into thinking they are the victims. Victims can turn into villains.

The Israeli siege of Beirut, 1982. Hezbollah didn’t exist back then.

I’ll keep taking every opportunity to say it: Lewis’s reaction at AD21 is one of the greatest displays of composure, grace and humility I’ve ever seen. Beyond all the titles, that moment cements him as one of the greatest sportsmen ever.
