Great few days relaxing with the Devon ladies

Really enjoyable visit to Ward A8 today in the LMB building @UHSussex. A specialist acute medical ward set up for those who also have a dementia. Excellent care from a dedicated team led by the Ward Manager who started life as a housekeeper with us. Thank you

Really enjoyable visit to Princess Royal @UHSussex - the Booking team, the Imaging department,tour of Pharmacy, Pathology, the Mortuary and Ardingly Ward. Everyone I met was generous with their time and honest with their feedback. Thank you for all you do.

Good morning sunshine. Best British beach in a mainstream resort? (So no idyllic Hebridean islands, I’m afraid) I’ll start: Exmouth, Devon (pictured) Rhossilli, Gower Peninsula Scarborough, North Yorks Aberdeen. Bottom of the table, Brighton (which I adore in all other respects).

Such a joy to be @UHSussex to support the launch of a Friend in Need, provided by @HospFriends in collaboration with @AnneRobsonTrust - a service provided by volunteers to ensure no one in RSCH has to end their life alone. Extraordinary commitment from the volunteers - thank you

@UHSussex A huge achievement, done through the sheer commitment from our clinical teams. Thanks also to out admin teams for the booking and scheduling; and our estates teams for keeping our theatres going at maximum output. Every one working our hospital contributes to every patient.

We are so proud to have delivered by far the biggest absolute reduction in waiting list numbers in the entire NHS. This reduction accounted for nearly one-fifth of England’s total reduction in 2024 - thanks to the hard work and innovations of our teams. 💙

Huge thanks to the Friends of St Richard’s Hospital for their generous gift that will provide a treat for all staff on duty on Christmas Day. The Trustees and Volunteers do so much for the hospital and we are very grateful for all their efforts.

We're excited to announce that we have been awarded almost £3.5m to establish a Commercial Research Delivery Centre.✨ The centre will enhance the speed and efficiency of commercial clinical research, providing more people in Sussex with access to cutting-edge treatments.
