@theresamccu @amhistorymuseum You did an amazing job increasing interest in the history of beer. You have an uncanny ability to source the right people to engage audiences about various beer styles. I enjoyed giving my talk on Saisons to an engaged audience. Be proud of your tenure.

News: Nov 3 will be my last day at @amhistorymuseum. On Nov 6, I will begin as the Curator of Mars, Incorporated. I am so grateful for the immense enthusiasm and support I have experienced in the past (nearly) 7 years in this position. #beerhistory #beer #craftbeer

@phillyinsider This is such devastating news for all Philadelphians. It took us so many years to find a reliable source of locally, humanely raised, grass-fed beef to serve @MonksCafePhilly. Heather has so a high level of integrity that it will be impossible to replace what she did for Philly.

We’re tapping our last 1/2 keg of @RussianRiverBC #plinytheyounger today. @MonksCafePhilly has a limit of two glasses per guest — just so more people can enjoy a glass of this once-a-year Triple IPA. It lives up to the hype. Don’t miss out.

Amazing lunch at Resto Henri on rue du Flanders in Centre Ville, Brussels. Beef carpaccio/foie gras pinwheel, Cépes ravioli, oxtail croquette & pistachio glace with fig cake. Stupid good.

@BeaumontDrinks While I’m loathe to join any movement/trend, highlighting how well Belgian beer pairs with food is a worthy endeavor. The historic range of Belgian styles has increased over the past decade with de la Senne, Tilquin, Bokke, etc bringing fresh energy. Count @MonksCafePhilly in!

Over on FB, I made the quiet suggestion that maybe November should be Belgian Beer Month, with craft beer veterans working to introduce younger drinkers to the joys of Belgian beers. The idea seems quite popular, so I'm bringing it to Twitter. What do you think?

@cooksj7163 I am a Business owner & Capitalist. Exxon Mobile has shown an extraordinary level of Corporate Greed by any standard. 2019 1st Qtr Profit $2.35B / 2021 1 Qtr Profit $2.7B / 2022 1st Qtr Profit $5.5B. Taxpayers already subsidize oil exploration & transport by $20B in 2021. GREEDY!

@McDonalds It’s downright creepy that a impersonal, multi-national corporation that supports factory “farming”—which practice pollutes the environment with deadly pesticides like Roundup, pays employees a pittance, even remotely cares that I regret giving them even a penny. Pure posturing.

I had not had anything from a McDonald’s in over 20 years. Being a bit peckish while driving in Upstate NY, I thought “why not”. They cooked a “fresh” —ahem — hash brown for me. It all came back to me as to why I don’t eat anything from there. Sooo salty & greasy. Inedible.
