@AnfieldSector @_pauljoyce Believing in Bradley as anything other than a limited but honest back up player was nonsense. His injuries just make it worse.

[🟢] NEW: A key decision revolves around right back. Liverpool chose not to sign a replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold because they believe in Bradley, but his injuries continue to stall his development. [@_pauljoyce] thetimes.com/sport/football…

@QTalksFtbl After a year of awful football, I'm not sure fans want to hear about a manager's confidence in turning something around that they patently cannot achieve. Fans are aware of the mitigating factors but we also expect confidence to be anchored to signs of improvement. None so far.

Read the article on Slot. Fantastic insight. I respect Slot is confident and believes he can turn it around still. Fair comments made regarding external and internal factors that could not have been foreseen. However, I remain incredibly skeptical. For the sake of the club, which I hold above all else, I hope I’m proven wrong.

3 years on and we still haven’t found a proper replacement for this light house, were we unfair on him for selling him too soon ?

@USronaldcarter NATO isn't "fucked" at all. Trump's had his wings clipped and been reminded by NATO members that it isn't a sweet shop to use when he wants. It's a defensive alliance primarily against Russian European expansion. Europe leaders walked away from Trump's war, not NATO.

🚨 NOBODY KNOWS HOW FUCKED NATO ACTUALLY IS RIGHT NOW. In the last 72 hours, watch who walked away: 🇫🇷 France: Blocked US military overflight for weapons to Israel — FIRST TIME since war began Feb 28. Israel cut ALL defense procurement from France. 🇮🇹 Italy: Denied Sigonella air base landing to US bombers. Defense Minister said relations are "solid and loyal." DAYS after blocking US planes. 🇪🇸 Spain: Closed ENTIRE airspace to US operations. Blocked Naval Station Rota AND Morón Air Base. PM Sánchez called it "not NATO collective defense." 🇵🇱 Poland: Refused to redeploy Patriot batteries. US burned through 1,200+ interceptors in 16 days. Poland said no. 🇨🇭 Switzerland: Denied 2 US reconnaissance flights. Suspended $120,000,000 in weapons exports under "neutrality laws." 🇬🇧 UK: PM said "this is not our war." Trump told them to "build up some delayed courage." 🇩🇪 Germany: President Steinmeier called war "possibly illegal." WHILE hosting Ramstein — largest US base outside America. That is: France, Italy, Spain, Poland, Switzerland, UK, and Germany. All in ONE week. When this many allies abandon you at once, it's not a disagreement. It's a collapse.

@AnfieldSector @_pauljoyce The timing, the content, it's like those at FSG thought a 2-3 week international break would make us forget the terrible football we have been seeing for the majority of the season. It's been obvious for months that he's not capable of turning this around, his time's up.

@Micks2B Trouble in the Boardroom means decisions will be delayed or at least suboptimal. You need a clear strategy to assess performance and next steps. The multi-club strategy was huge and now it's been ditched. Why? Cold feet from FSG. Edwards and Hughes off? So who decides on Slot?

That latest Joyce report is grim reading. Ornstein and Joyce both reporting the same, means there will be significant truth to it. Sticking with Slot but expecting to lose Hughes and Edwards, couldn’t be a worse scenario! As well as ruling out Xabi 🤢.

Nah, thinking about it again, Carragher ranking John Barnes ahead of Salah as a bigger Liverpool legend is genuinely bonkers, I still can't believe it man. I mean what's the criteria?! In what planet was Barnes a better player than Salah never mind a bigger pool legend??

@Jayysein What he's actually saying is that those opportunities exist anyway. If praying is your thing, then you'll interpret things differently that would have happened anyway (and attribute it to God). If that's what gets you where you need to be, then great.

🚨🎙️Kvaraskhelia speaks on the club he will be if he wasn’t a player for PSG. 🗣️| Actually that’s going to be Liverpool which I nearly join during my exit at Napoli because they were links and wouldn’t say no if they came knocking for me because it’s the biggest club in England.

🚨Andres Iniesta on Paul Scholes: “One day in La Masia, Rijkaard walked in and said, ‘Today we don’t train, we are going to watch a DVD’. We sat for 3 hours watching Scholes highlights. It was the best day of my life. I, Xavi, Ronaldinho and a young Messi were in awe of him. It was then that I decided to call my first-born child Paul (Paolo). He’s 5 now, and every time I look at him, I remember that day in La Masia.”

🥇| @LewisSteele_ speaking to @AnfieldIndex: Liverpool will make a decision on Arne Slot's future at the end of the season, which will be based on how he fares in the objectives set out at the start of the season. If Slot does win a trophy, he could end up keeping his job.

England are not in the class of France, Argentina or Spain. But they do have some exceptional talent. Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane are world class. So is John Stones - at his best. Trent Alexander-Arnold is world class - in possession. Declan Rice is having the season of his life. There are more reasons to be positive going into this tournament than negative. But England have to be bold and play to their strengths.  Imagine if England were bold and, if all fit, went into the World Cup… Pickford; Alexander-Arnold, Stones, Guehi, O’Reilly; Anderson, Rice; Saka, Bellingham, Gordon; Kane.  Stones would have some covering to do of Alexander-Arnold when he raced upfield. Bellingham gets heavily scrutinised but he’s a big-game player, a winner and used to pressure at Real Madrid. He has to start. England also have an exceptional head coach in Thomas Tuchel who can make the right changes at the right time. England have a chance of progressing to the quarter-finals of the World Cup and then anything’s possible. But only if they are bold. Not gung-ho. But bold. Risk/reward. #ENG
