@chibuzo_mikel It’s funny how people are digging deep in the replies. Leave emotions aside—Chibuzor is correct. What the government will earn from garment sales or exports will come mainly from taxes and levies, and that simply can’t rival oil revenue. That claim is clearly an exaggeration.

😂😂😂😂 If it was when I was 18 years old, I may have believed this kind of statement. But today, I analyse everything (and that's why I am always getting people angry 😂😂) and frankly speaking this kind of statement (whether it comes from Peter Obi, Atiku or Tinubu himself) is very unrealistic and I'll tell you why. In 2025, NNPCL remitted N14.7 trillion into the federation account for sharing by the three tiers of government while NUPRC remitted N8.5 trillion. That means a total of N23.2 trillion REVENUE came from oil out of the N35 trillion inflows into the federation account in 2025. Mind you, the N23.2 trillion is not the total amount earned from crude oil sales, it's the portion of it that flows into the federation account after the oil companies must have made necessary cost deductions and taken their profit. So, when you talk about REVENUE for Nigeria, you're talking about the money that will enter into the public purse. So, I wonder how on earth Aba shoe and garment industry will generate N23.2 trillion (around $17 billion) in tax revenue for Nigeria annually! For context, the GDP of Abia in 2023 is under N4 trillion (less than $3 billion). GDP o, not revenue. So, when we make statements, let's tone down on the unrealistic projections please. I like facing reality. Happy Palm 🌴 Sunday

@_kimoprah Guys relax the stories we read in the Bible of people’s vulnerable moments with Jesus were documented that’s why we can read them, the difference is today there are cameras telling those stories.

You know, I miss the orthodox days, when vulnerable moments with God in church were just that, moments. No camera being slammed up in your face, no content created out of your vulnerable moment in church. Sigh!

Someone came to me last week to buy Hisense 65-inch. I gave him N750k. Delivery as usual is free to any location of his choice within Nigeria. He abused me and said my mates are selling it for N600k. My usual response - "No problem. Go and buy it from where it is cheaper".😊

I recently spoke to a marketer who ran a $40M brand with just two designers and ONE AI process: He gave me and my team a masterclass on using AI to scale marketing and creative. He chains 7 different tools together for: ideation, image creation, video editing, and iterating based on performance. I paid him 6-figures to build these systems for my companies. Now, I’m giving them away for free. Repost + comment “GA” to get the guide in your DMs.

@Kene_Nnewi So 390k is “small” profit when your 76 million is still fully intact? Tell me, which business in this country allows you to lie on your bed, do nothing, and still receive 390k at the end of the month—without stress, without shouting, and without the fear of being bankrupt?

Go to Access Bank and open a High Interest Deposit Account (HIDA) Save money you won’t be needing often in there; House rent School fees Wedding money Child dedication That japa plan money That vacation money Put all in there and don’t withdraw from that account, keep money you use often in another account so you don’t touch your money. You can read more here accessbankplc.com/personal/savin… This is one investment hack I discovered few years back and it still works till today. Note: If you withdraw more than 4x from this account, you won’t get paid for that month. If you save more, you earn more that’s why they pay monthly.

Ninety percent of ad problems are creative problems. Bad creatives burn good audiences Using the wrong creative is like shouting in a crowded room while wearing noise cancelling headphones.

Most businesses don’t have a sales problem, they have a visibility problem Cooking great food is useless if you never tell anyone you cooked. Ads are the announcement, not an extra. How are you advertising your business?

@kuk0nki The pain isn’t that people who don’t pray succeed. Prayer is not the success engine. Prayer is communion with God where we receive clarity, direction, and correction. What produces results is acting on the instruction you received, not the prayer itself.

@ohemamarie @withAlvin__ The question is are you going drive out the Ghanaians who are doing fraud too? If not, then there’s absolutely no need for the xenophobic attacks. If someone commits a crime get them arrested, there are plenty Nigerians doing legitimate business in 🇬🇭

@TaxDoctorNG The only reason it seems like it’s cheaper is cause the labor it cost to bring the same service in the two nations is not the same. So when you want to cost it, it has to be in percentage not actual cost. How much does the labor involved cost?

Nigeria has many issues that need fixing, but living in Nigeria is way cheaper than many places, including UK, USA, Canada. I have reasons to meet some obligations yesterday and changed N1m to 869.57CAD. Without prompting, Mrs O, she said 🇨🇦 is too expensive. There is no way we can spend N1m on these two things in Nigeria. It wasn't a surprise to me because I have always known my truth. I paid Emmax bill CAD450 - 490k. How many households pay 490k monthly for Band A electricity in naija. Let me bring it closer, why do you go to Lagos for dirty December? Can your $5000 give you the same level of flexing (value) you get when you change it to Naira? There is no need to deny the obvious because you want to feel cool. We all know the number of shifts you had to do to save that $5000k It is cheaper to live in Naija!!!! END!

@mikeachimugu01 I think the reason why they can’t cost the same is that labor cost is not consistent in both countries. What $25 will purchase in New York can never be the same with Lagos especially cause of the cost of service. That’s why it’s connected to wage

True. May I ask? If a Nigerian earns 210,000 naira monthly and a Brit earns 100 Pounds monthly, who can afford more? Asking honestly for learning purposes only.
