the truly frustrating thing is that getting four wins in a row wouldn’t be impossible at all (or even hard!) if the pens played the way they’ve played against that team all season (only losses were in shootouts!!!). they’re the better team talent wise they just lack the mindset

Refs had zero control of the game and Flyers played their scumbag hockey. NHL should do what’s right and suspend Konecny. Refs missed Konecny’s elbow to Rust’s head then he tried kicking Rust 3 times. Suspension - NHL Rule 48 states a match penalty shall be imposed on any player who kicks or attempts to kick another player, typically resulting in a five-minute major, game misconduct, and league review for potential suspension. - At that moment there was frustration over delayed penalty decisions, a missed elbow, and lack of explicit call for Konecny's skate action. Bryan Rust said he was elbowed and that Konecny tried to kick him. Rust asked the officials why the Penguins were shorthanded after that and said he was ignored.
