🚨| BREAKING: Per @WONF4W, IYO SKY vs. Asuka hasn’t been made official for WrestleMania yet due to uncertainty around Nikki Bella’s medical status. If Nikki isn’t cleared for the Women’s Tag Team Title match, The Kabuki Warriors are expected to replace The Bella Twins. If she is cleared, Iyo vs. Asuka will move forward as planned. As of now, it’s unclear what happens with Iyo if Asuka is required for the tag match instead.

Does main eventing Night 1 of WrestleMania count as main eventing WrestleMania, or does only Night 2 get that distinction?
I look at it like a music festival. If Lady Gaga headlines Friday and Taylor Swift headlines Saturday… they’re both still headliners.

WWE has never longed for celebrity involvement as much as they do in this era. I understand the idea, but I think it’s driving away their dedicated fanbase. Hopefully for WWE’s sake, the people who sample wrestling due to following those celebrities stick around.

@ChandranTheMan Download festival in the UK 2010, AC/DC paid a record festival appearance fee, had their own exclusive stage next the main stage. Had highest billing on posters ect. Yet headline the Friday of a festival with two more nights. Surely they were the headliner even if on night one.

@ChandranTheMan It counts, but it's not the same. You can still say you've main evented WrestleMania, but closing the whole weekend is another level.
Festival analogy doesn't track because Gaga/Swift have different fanbases who would go to one but not the other

Tbh though, most series that have 24 episodes a season don't really need it. This Is Us actually made it work tbf, but you look at the likes of Lost and The Walking Dead that were *brilliant* shows that suffered quality wise because of network TV dynamics.
