Tropic Thunder is 17 today. Tom Cruise pitched the idea of Les Grossman to Ben Stiller, got a fat suit, bald cap and big hands and let rip. Even the final dance was Cruise's suggestion. It's one of the greatest comedy performances of the past 20 years.
