Nominations can be made by submitting an electronic copy of the nominated book, along with author information to info@philosophyliterature.com. More information on the book prize can be found here: philosophyliterature.com/book-prize-1.

The deadline for the Hugh J. Silverman Book Prize submissions is on 15th January 2025. Nominations must come from the publisher, but authors are encouraged to notify their publishers about the suitability of their books for the award.

We are delighted to announce that the 2025 Hugh J. Silverman Book Prize in Philosophy and Literature is open for nominations. The inaugural prize welcomes nominations for books published in the calendar year 2024.

All participants accepted to speak at the cancelled meeting in Gettysburg will be invited to speak at the future meeting. We hope to provide details as soon as possible.

Due to an unforeseen bout of illness, it is with great regret that the APL has been forced to cancel the planned conference in Gettysburg. The Executive Committee is currently working to hold a replacement meeting in the summer of 2025.
