@bobbymcgee1878 @SteveB84 You need to get your facts right before you post on here. Whilst it was a controversial payment in view of losses due to a pre season tour cancellation etc etc. Everyone else got at least £20m not £1m. When you're big you're big.

Unless clubs like Forest, Everton and others start to challenge the leniency of decisions taken by the EPL against the so called ‘Big 5 (& Spurs)’, then they will continue to be treated leniently by Masters & Co. Time to stand up and be counted!

We talk about Manchester United as if it were built on trophies. It’s not. It’s built on a moment when everything was gone… Imagine losing everything in a single moment. Your team. Your future. Your identity. Now imagine being the one person left behind… expected to carry it all. That was Jimmy Murphy in 1958. 🧵 This isn’t really a story about winning. It’s about the man who refused to let everything fall apart when it would have been easier to walk away. The Man Who Stayed February 1958. The Munich air disaster had just happened. Everything was broken. Players gone. Dreams gone. Silence everywhere. Matt Busby was in the hospital, barely holding on. The team people called the future of football… wiped out in a moment. Back in England real conversations were happening. About shutting the club down. About ending it. Because honestly… what was left? But there was one man who didn’t see an ending. Jimmy Murphy. He wasn’t on the plane that day. He had been away with Wales. When he got the news, he came back to something that didn’t feel like football anymore. It felt like a loss. Like emptiness. Like a club that had been hollowed out. He went to the hospital to see Busby. And through everything the pain, the machines, the uncertainty Busby said something simple: “Keep the flag flying, Jimmy.” That could have meant anything. To Murphy, it meant everything. He didn’t rest. Days were spent identifying bodies. Nights were spent looking for players… anywhere he could find them. Local parks. Small clubs. Young boys who probably never imagined they’d wear the shirt. There was no time to mourn properly. Because the club still had fixtures. Thirteen days later, Manchester United played again. Against Sheffield Wednesday in the FA Cup. The team sheet didn’t look like United anymore. Names missing. Spaces that should have been filled… left empty. The crowd didn’t come for football. They came because they needed to be there. Some stood in silence. Some cried. It wasn’t a normal match. And somehow… United won. 3–0. But Murphy didn’t celebrate. He didn’t run onto the pitch. Didn’t raise his hands. He went back inside. Sat down. And started again. Because for him, it was never about that one game. It was about making sure there would always be another one. That’s the part people don’t always talk about. We celebrate the trophies. The comebacks. The big nights. But none of it exists without that moment. Without that decision. Without a man who looked at everything that was gone… and chose to keep going anyway. That’s why this club feels different. Because it wasn’t built only on success. It was rebuilt from loss. From refusal. From a promise that no matter what happens… it continues. So when people talk about Manchester United, they talk about greatness. But the truth is… Before greatness, there was survival. And that started with Jimmy Murphy. The man who stayed. 🔴 #ManchesterUnited #GGMU

@DanLang12 @Ritchie14035531 Ours was 1927. Where does that leave us. They're literally 2nd to Real Madrid as the biggest club in the world. That's why they can not get European football and still blast us out the water wages wise and that's why players go there. It's their job.

Carrick – 48% win rate Nagelsmann – 64% win rate Carrick – 189 games managed Nagelsmann – 400+ games Carrick – 44 years Nagelsmann – 38 years Carrick – no trophies Nagelsmann – Bundesliga, DFL Super Cup Carrick – managed Middlesbrough Nagelsmann – Hoffenheim, Leipzig, Bayern, Germany These are the basics. So before picking a manager, at least be informed about who you’re comparing. Because it doesn’t add up… If Amorim was getting cooked for a 31% win rate, how does 48% suddenly become better than 64%? Unless we’re just being hypocritical.

Fucks Man United fans doing in the replies? This is why you aren’t taken seriously + still the global laughing stock of the league, he’ll end up going to City or Arsenal and none of their fans are here. They come in, sign who they want and don’t make a fuss. Tinpot behaviour 👍

🚨 HOLY CRAP. President Trump just dropped a truth nuke on American "allies" and the UK "WE come to their rescue, but they will NEVER come to ours. And I want you to remember that we said this, they didn't come to our rescue! Now they all want to help when they're annihilated!" "The other side is annihilated. They said, 'we'd love to send ships.' They actually made a statement, a couple of them, that we want to get involved when the war's over..." "...No, it's supposed to get involved with the war's BEGINNING or even before it begins!" "We had the UK say that 'we'll send,' this is three weeks ago, 'we'll send our aircraft carriers,' which aren't the best aircraft carriers, by the way, they're toys compared to what we have, but 'we'll send our aircraft carrier when the war's over.'" 😭 "I said, oh, that's wonderful. Thank you very much. Don't bother. We don't need it. And we don't need it. We don't need them!"

@DHLManUtd There's so many to choose from. The obvious ones are the 99 cl final Fa cup semi final against Arsenal. Then there was the historic come backs against Barcelona at home and Juventus away. Liverpool in the F A cup twice from being behind There's many more.
