Great conversation about school leadership with a couple of friends early this morning. Here’s the question that was posed: When a principal moves into a new building, what needs to come first in their focus? Culture (how we behave) or Climate (How we feel)? Thoughts?????

The Governor has called for vouchers for all. With over 1 million students already in homeschool & private schools, it could cost up to $8 billion yearly. 90% of students are in public school, & they deserve full funding before diverting taxpayer $$$ for private school subsidies.

It’s midnight and I’m settling in from a wonderful night. The Midlothian ISD Board of Trustees voted to hire me as their new Superintendent. It was a meeting full of joy and hope. Everyone has been warm, welcoming and excited for the future. Thank you Board for trusting me.
