Just watched President Zelensky's interview on 'The Rest is Politics' from the 9th of April 26, and while I did find the interview interesting, there is one thing worth mentioning and asking. Many people will have different views on the suggestion that the UK should rejoin the EU. Some will view it positively, some will view it negatively, and there will be others who will say a European army will be important for standing up to Russian aggression, while others will say the UK may have a better chance of helping outside the EU. But for everyone who has not dropped the Brexit issue since it was voted for in 2016, it is worth remembering, the UK was in the EU in 2014, the same year Putin annexed the Crimea. By all means, I don't blame the Ukrainians for now wanting to be part of something else that will help them defeat Russia, nor President Zelenskyy for wanting something stronger than the Budapest Memorandum. But since in the UK, our (insert the words) Prime Minister tried to organise a second referendum after people voted for Brexit, should the UK Prime Minister (as of the time of writing) give us a referendum rejoining the EU, or if we should vote on the types of deal the UK should choose if we remain out (such as the EEA, Single Market or other types of Brexit deals?) If we want to stick to the facts, the UK was able to get not only vaccines before the EU did during Covid, but it was also able to get equipment to Ukraine first before the start of the full scale invasion, while the EU was still debating it. Would the UK rejoining the EU mean Ukraine would get equipment anywhere quicker?

Well, happy second 25th birthday to me. 25 years ago today, I was knocked down following a hit and run accident in Spain but survived. Happy Life Day!

Was meaning to get two blogs and a few videos out before the end of February but unfortunately it's been a busy month for me and I haven't been feeling the best over the last few days, so only managed to write Part 9 of my Customised DSi series. So here's a link to my blog: Customised DSi Review Part 9. More accessible tech videos will be uploaded to YouTube either this coming weekend or the next. pltechreviews.co.uk/2026/02/28/cus…

Hello everyone. Bit of a weird question here. Are there any people who work in the technology field (specifically handhelds / retro handhelds) or who are electricians, who would be happy to talk to me about an idea I have for a handheld I would like to create? I’d also be interested in talking to local 3D Printing companies who may know about certain things. Also product designers etc? Preferably, I’d like to speak to people based in Northern Ireland, Southern Ireland and/or UK. Not going to say too much about what the product is until I’m messaging professionals, but it is something inspired by accessible gaming. I would technically be looking for someone to do the 3D printing and the wiring, while I do the coding. #RETROGAMING #HandheldGaming #AccessibleGaming

2025 was a mad year for a lot of things, such as in politics, technology, sports and other areas of culture. But in Northern Ireland, we saw a lot of great shows coming over, many of which were performed in our iconic oldest theatre, the Grand Opera House. In this new blog, 'My Favourite Theatre Performances of the Last Year (Combined Theatre Review)' I outline my thoughts on 4 shows I went to see over the last year — Dear Evan Hansen, War Horse, Fiddler on the Roof and The Adventures of Pinocchio. If it interests anyone, click to find out. phoebelyle.com/my-favourite-t…
