PPD is on scene of a critical incident near 7th Ave. & McDowell Road. Expect traffic delays & avoid the area. PIO en route shortly. Media staging on south side of McDowell.

Jordyn has been found safe and reunited with family.

Jordyn Plump, 11 y/o, 5’5, 130lbs, brown eyes, black hair. Last seen in the area of 15th Ave/Van Buren St. contact PPD with info.

PIO will provide sound at about 8:30. Most media is now set up on the North side of Indian School Rd. Parking lot on the North East corner.

Police are on scene of a critical incident near 40Th. St. And Indian School Road. PIO is on scene. All officers are ok. No suspects outstanding.

Indian School Rd. Will be closed in both directions from 40th St. to 42nd St. during the morning commute. Please find an alternate route.

@GeorgeBeTrippin @CityofPhoenixAZ The department doesn't currently have a canine policy, so this would be new and establish one.

@PhoenixPolice @CityofPhoenixAZ Can you tell us what changed? The draft seems good. Handlers are expected to tend and care for them, if the canine is used we keep records, makes sense. It doesn't say y'all are going to stop using them, and doing so would be stupid. So was there any real change?
