i have to thank my partner @phoenixxvt, my community, and close friends (thank you @bubbybuttvt for housing me again) for being ever so patient with me. we’re going to try again and again.

during hiatus i not only went into isolation mode online, but offline too. over the past week i’ve met up with so many of my friends and taken myself out to mini food spots to just get out the house. pulling yourself out of a pit is no easy task. trying to rekindle your fire can feel almost impossible when the feeling of numbness becomes comfortable. breaking yourself out of your own mental prison is something that should never be downplayed. here’s to us and brighter tomorrows 🔮🩷

how you act in someone’s absence will always speak volumes about you. i had a childhood friend who i stopped talking to in highschool because we ended up in different social groups. i was a shut-in, she was “cool”. i was too scared to associate with her anymore. on my 18th birthday, i overheard a group of girls who hated my guts gossip about me around the corner. they were saying how i looked ridiculous and had no idea “who i was trying to impress dressed like that” (mind you, i was wearing a top with pugs on it, but pop off queens). my friend, despite not talking for about 4 years at this point, butted in and said “actually, today is her birthday, and i think she looks stunning.” when she found out that one of those girls were getting with my boyfriend at the time, she told her “isn’t that chae’s boyfriend?” and proceeded to screenshot a bunch of texts and send them to herself while the girl went to the restroom. when i was hospitalised in ICU, she was THE FIRST ONE by my bedside, and the last one to leave. she lived three hours away. when my abusive boyfriend came to “visit”, she told him to get out. we hadn’t spoken for 4 whole years. even when we hadn’t looked at each other at school, hadn’t even smiled at each other. she always had my back. ALWAYS. when i wasn’t looking, she was there for me. this is a friend, a proper friend. i don’t have many friends, but i can confidently say that all my friends are like this. and it’s because of them, that i strive to be that friend too.

finally going to the vet for all 4 of my cats in april and although the price is pretty good its still ALOT to pay. im looking at around 1500$ for the rabies shot, microchips, and spaying for smokey/luigi.

@kalimama69 oh good point, ill ask and see what they say but tbh all the other clinics were charging ATLEAST 2k, so i feel a bit bad asking when the pricing they have is so much better. but yeah worse they can say is no lol

@PhoenixxVT I feel this. I have my six kitty kids. Had to cut a deal with the vet. He’ll give me enough meds to treat the rest of my cats even if he only saw one. I feel for you Phoenixx. Never be afraid to ask for a price break. It’s lots of cats. Worse they can say is no.
