@nuevo_tokyo You did an absolutely amazing job with this! The way you can change the aspect ratio and the seamless transition into the gallery are so thoughtfully designed.
Dumb question, is there a way to change the focal length? (even if it's just digitally)

Incredibly proud of why this exists.

@evleaks Thank you so much for everything, Evan. It’s always been a pleasure working with you. I’ve learned so much from you and gained a lot of valuable insights. It’s been a wonderful experience. I wish you all the best in the next chapter of your life. :')

@nuevo_tokyo Curvature continuity—once you've seen it, you can't ignore it.
I just wonder why so few graphic designers use it. Limitations in the tools, or that CSS G2 doesn't support it?
English

@PeterTarka You even inspire us "older" designers, Peter. Happy birthday! :)

As I turn 34, I wanted to look back and reflect on the last 18 years of my design journey.
I started at 16 with Photoshop CS2 that I got from one of my dad’s friends. At the time, it was just a slightly more complicated MS Paint for me. I didn’t think much of it.
But little by little, I started spending more and more time in it, and that is when my interest in design really began to grow. After a year or two, I knew this was something I wanted to do for real.
I moved to Illustrator and started playing with type and illustration, but very quickly I wanted more depth.
Fast forward to 2010/2011 and my first project in Cinema 4D R11. It felt like black magic back then, no YouTube tutorials and software that was completely different from the Adobe world. But it clicked, and I was blown away by what was possible.
A year later came my first big project. A client found me on Behance, one of the largest telecom companies in Singapore. I wanted to charge $300. They thought I had missed a zero.
In the end, I was paid $3,000.
That single project changed everything. It gave me the confidence to take design seriously and fully commit to it.
I bought a new iMac in 2011, and the rest is history.
After all these years, I feel really grateful and I want to thank everyone who supported me along the way. I am also happy that I was able to inspire some younger designers to push 3D and do more creative work.
The design industry is in a tough spot these days, but I truly believe the best is yet to come.

@TripleGWorkshop Congrats! But are you satisfied with Bambu Labs' compensation so far? I'm just curious. Happy printing!

Unfortunately 40 of my most popular models have been moved over to MakerWorld as exclusives, so definitely go there for the full archive: makerworld.com/en/%40TripleGW…

@evleaks @BrandonMiniman Your part was actually crucial. Without the HTC M9 story, the ODMs wouldn’t have reached out to me.
😁🤜🤛
English

@evleaks @BrandonMiniman Because of Brandon’s “Windows Phone 7 Phone Experience” series on YouTube, I bought my first smartphone with Windows Phone 7 and started developing for it. That stuff really got me into it. And Evan’s leaks too. Thanks, guys! :)
English

@BeardedPrinter @printablescom Thanks, that's good to know. I still need 5,000 points, but I wanted to prepare myself mentally. :D Have fun putting it together.
English

@PhoneDesigner @printablescom It shows "Core One" in rewards, but the only one available for purchase says "Core One+", so I put it in my cart and the voucher code they provided worked!
English

Just redeemed a free Core One using my prusameters on @printablescom to get my second Prusa! Woohoo!!!!

@concept_central Ah, I see. So it’s better to start from scratch, otherwise YouTube’s algorithms would rank your channel as "less valuable." That makes sense.
English

I def could’ve, but some amount of my audience is not going to care about the new stuff I’m doing and I’d just be afraid of YouTube seeing that part of my audience as inactive. I’d rather have everyone that cares about the new videos in one place than have my old audience get recommended my videos and not click if that makes sense
English

@concept_central "Nostalgic for tomorrow." I like that. :)
English

@HailMaryLogs I guess it's because of the word “hail.” It's not very popular in Germany. 😅
