A major cold front and snow hit the Midwest 1.5 weeks ago pushing deer to my beans something fierce. “9 Lives” was close as I had him 2 mornings in a row daylighting on my beans, I took a swing at the 3rd morning but he was a now show. I got the right wind last Friday, all the deer hit my beans, and at 4:30 I look up and here he is calm as a cucumber strolling through my CRP at 90 yards. I observed his body posture and he was quite calm, so I let him close the distance and when he got within 50 yards broadside I squeezed the trigger on my brand new Ruger 400 Legend…he mule kicked…and I saw him go down within 40 yards. PROOF right there to never give up amongst the ups and downs a deer season can throw at you. Keep going, keep grinding!!! God is good!!!
