Day 3 of Duncan Serapelwane's MSD Agricultural Expo came alive in the most practical way, with powerful hands-on demonstrations speaking directly to the future of livestock farming.
Today’s focus was one every serious farmer understands: how to choose the right bull to strengthen and expand a herd. Because the truth is, one decision can shape generations.
With expert guidance from Sebastian Mofokeng of Bonsmara SA and Tebogo Molele from Sernick Group, farmers were taken through the critical features to consider when selecting a bull — from genetic potential and fertility to structure, adaptability and overall performance.
This is real, on-the-ground learning. The kind that equips farmers to make confident, profitable decisions.
Bonsmara SA continues to lead in developing a breed known for its adaptability, fertility and efficiency under South African conditions, while Sernick brings deep expertise in commercial beef production, feedlots and delivering quality genetics to the market.
That is what makes this platform so powerful: bringing together knowledge, experience and opportunity in one space.
As Day 3 continues, we carry forward the lessons, the connections and the energy.
Because at African Farming, we don’t just attend — we learn, we share and we grow together with the farmers we serve.
