Today was my last real day of field work in @JoshuaTreeNPS. It's been such a great opportunity. I've seen some absolutely breathtaking things and met some awesome people. Hopefully I'll be back soon! (Maybe in the fall 🤔)

Suggestions for best haplotype network software? ~15 years ago, I was using TCS for haplotype networks. I remember it kept crashing on me. What are people using today? I'd appreciate any advice!

Advice needed, please! Do you purchase the warranty offered for lab equipment? I'm buying an expensive device. Item costs ~$30K & 3rd party warranty is $5K for yrs 2-5 (seller covers 1st yr). I don't think it's worth it and would be glad to get thoughts on lab item warranties.

Yes, we'll have a great group of collaborators on this project! And there will be grad students at several institutions working towards the same larger goals. @bramic21 is also bringing on a PhD student for next fall, so check out that opportunity, too.

A connected PhD position from our Bees of the World grant. You'll get to collaborate with a diverse team of academic and government researchers on a very important topic. Apply now either for WSU or USU! @thecriticalbee @DanforthLab @PhyloSolving
