Day 7. I continue to pray for you in Rome. A relic of the foot of St. Mary Magdalene at the church of San Giovanni dei Fiorentini. Say what you want about us crazy Catholics, we’ve got some great history! Then there’s this sculpture of the baptism of Jesus. It’s a good day

Day 5. Rome. If you’re seeing this, I’m praying for you. This is the church of Sant’Ivo. In the center of Rome. Borromini designed that beautiful top/steeple.

Day 5 Rome. If you're reading this, I'm praying for you. A glimpse of the suffering on earth & a symbol of Heaven awaiting us. The statue below is in front of the offices of the Sant'Egidio Community in Trastevere. They have an amazing outreach to the poor, centered in prayer.

Day 4 in Rome. I continue to pray for you. This is the container that held the skin of the apostle Bartholomew when he was martyred by being skinned alive. Happy Monday! 😉

After a series of running injuries starting almost a decade ago & my cancer diagnosis a few yrs ago, I’m off-the-charts grateful for every chance I get to lace up my sneakers on a gorgeous morning, head into the park, and run slightly faster than I can really sustain. Breathing in oxygen and beauty and grace with every step.
