It has been a busy week here at Pitton! PCSO John Taylor visited Wrens to talk about people who help us, we’ve made ice sculptures and experienced some snow, had the 2nd of our open mornings and started the set up for our upcoming Christmas Fair!

Pupils in Y6 attended an AIM High maths workshop today! Such a wonderful opportunity to gain skills and knowledge in how to reason and problem solve! Thank you for such an inspiring day 😃

Mrs Wilkinson attended some maths training with White Rose Maths today! The workshop talked about implementation and impact! Exciting! 😃

We are very proud of our Y3/4 Football team who competed in their first tournament of the year today narrowly missing out on a medal after a strong start! Well done on your fantastic team work and for supporting and encouraging each other well throughout the tournament.

This week we’re in Peru with school leaders from @ditton_ps, @EvelynPrimary, @PickwickTrust, @NHGS and @PoltairSchool to develop their partner school links. 🇵🇪 We’re already learning about the education system, culture and traditions! #LeadershipDelegations #SisterSchoolPartnerships

This half term Mrs Wilkinson and a number of other @PickwickTrust Headteacher’s visited Denmark to look at the Nordic Teaching Model. Thank you to Højdevangen’s School and Rungsted School for being the most amazing and thought provoking hosts!

And just like that, we are back to the beginning of our sporting calendar. Today was the year 5/6 Girls’ Football Competition and the girls were so supportive of each other and proud of themselves to come away with gold medals! They really were brilliant.

We are geographers! Euro fever! Chaffinch have spent sometime this afternoon exploring the teams playing in the euros. They used their geographical and locational knowledge to teach their classmates all about their chosen country!
