It did cut down the amount of jobs and they cut teams but overall the minor leagues did improve and they make about 30-40k in 6-8 months of work

Had 2 friends that left MILB 6 years ago after spending 6 years deep in the minors. The horror stories of where they would stay and how little they were paid was disgusting. It was well under minimum wage. Triple A is better, mainly because you have a lot of guys that have spent time in Majors who have money and they can actually fill a stadium, but when you're in low A it's HORRIBLE.

They aren’t paying for living and food. In Triple A, it’s a lot of free agents and guys who have time so some of those guys are making 10 - 20k a month.
