I’m all for people being more open than out mums and nans generation but can you all please stop making peri and menopause sound so scary I do not like it

@msloobylou @kokeshimum @idlewildgirl Yeah - the hip issue is more of a birth defect (dysplasia) but it might help….

@msloobylou @Pidders2 @idlewildgirl Even if the joint pain hadn’t happened it’s only when I started HRT that I realised just how bad everything else had been. I wasn’t actually breezing through it I had simply accepted having to put up with it.

@kokeshimum @idlewildgirl @msloobylou Oh god. I mean you never know how things are going to go -at 56 I’m good at the moment but that could change. I’ve no doubt my dodgy hip will be an absolute bitch at some point. I did ask my GP if I shouldn’t have HRT regardless because of the potential benefits but she said no.

@Pidders2 @idlewildgirl @msloobylou I was in the best shape of my life at 52. Told everyone menopause was a breeze. No HRT. Was bar bell squatting 60 kilos bench pressing 25 kilos. Running. Eating well. 2 years on I can’t even walk on a treadmill nevermind run. Frozen shoulder means no lifting. Piled on weight 🫤

@msloobylou @idlewildgirl Absolutely- certainly not something to be brushed aside but equally we are not defined by, and apparently this is a thing, armpits that smell like onions 🤷🏻‍♀️

@Pidders2 @idlewildgirl I feel we’re practically defined by menopause now.

@idlewildgirl @msloobylou Same here - I exercise loads and eat well - sailing through it so far and I think I’m at the arse end of it now. No meds - not everyone has it easy but not everyone has a nightmare either.

@Pidders2 I saw them play this album for the first time live before it was released at Earls Court London 97 we were reading a newspaper (yes remember them ) on the plane down which gave ratings of the songs from the album to give us an idea which songs to listen too this got 10/10 ❤️
