I'm going to do a thread about Glasgow, potholes & how supporting safe cycling (& walking) can help, which will probably make a lot of people shout at me.

It is also not true to say that people will not cycle in winter weather, as some claim. Glasgow launched a new electric bike hire scheme in November which has already seen over 170,000 trips.

It is simply not true to say that people will not use safe cycle lanes. They do. In my own ward the South City Way has been more successful than I think anyone anticipated, with monitoring showing more cycles than cars on the road on multiple occasions, including at peak times.
