Always feels good to learn something new when game making. Finally fixed a (relatively minor, but annoying) bug that's been around since 2019! That alone is satisfying, but knowing that I can now carry this experience forward into future projects is extra nice.

I did a good thing, and I'm proud of myself. Sometimes it's important to recognize when a feature that's really not necessary would take far too long to implement, and stop yourself. Feature Creep is defeated this day, and I have saved myself many hours!

It seems the ulcer is healing enough that I should be back to streaming on Monday, with Dragon Quest XI. I was dreading at least another week of dealing with it, but now I don't have to do as many weird mouth movements to avoid irritating it when I talk or eat, so should be good!

One of my favourite things in this game making process is, sometimes I'll look at some programming that I haven't had to touch in a long time, and realise how inefficient it is. Was able to make a big improvement and hopefully optimisation boost today!

On the bright side, more time to work on Dragon Dreams! Thanks ulcer, for making me start off 2026 with creativity!

I thought mouthwash and salt water were supposed to make ulcers heal faster. This thing sucks. It seems no Lunacid stream tomorrow (Saturday), or at all until further notice. Will return to streaming when I can, I miss it.
