I swear to god I am going to make pamphlets will all the major, minor, & possible symptoms of perimenopause/menopause to hand out to women. Because we are not told about these things & doctors don’t warn us or have these discussions. Why is it up to women to inform one another?

@courtsidekenny @notcapnamerica Parenting has always been complicated. The conversations my H (behavior specialist) has with his friends about their kids mostly is about structure & routine. AS SIMPLE AS A CONSISTENT BEDTIME. When he creates interventions it’s almost always about structure & expectations.

@notcapnamerica I know this pov is popular, that parents are lazy. But I implore you guys to remember we are fighting for wage increases everywhere. Being an adult without a kid is tough enough. I imagine with all the distractions and multiple jobs, parenting can be complicated.

This is completely confusing to me. My mother taught me to read before I even entered kindergarten. Before the first day of school I’d read probably 100 of those Little Golden Books. Are parents just lazy and expect the teachers to do all the work?

My wife has been working on the teacher recruitment crisis from the administration side of things. She blames teachers being publically unhappy with their jobs as one on the reasons it's so hard to get people into the profession anymore. Do we owe them a more cheerful attitude?

Still working on the outside unit…& we’ve had rooms go down already this school year. Maybe if you’re not in a classroom, go visit?

I hope @MSTODAYnews @MarshallRamsey can find a school in this state with a classroom that doesn’t have an A/C unit - and when they do, we can ask that school district what they did with their share of the ~$270M increase in public education spending the #msleg appropriated just this legislative session alone.

I have mixed feelings about the “back to school PD” discourse. On the one hand, it kinda sucks that so many educators seem to be fairly hostile to new ideas, approaches, methods, etc. On the other, I’ve also sat through my share of useless, patronizing PD—so I kinda get it? 🤷🏼♂️
