The Governor Track & Field Family and Community are all saddened and heartbroken with the news of the passing of one of our own. We are all mourning this tragedy - if you need to talk to someone, please reach out to a member of the coaching staff.

At last night’s Track & Field Awards Banquet, Eladio S and Caleb M were named team MVP’s for the boys’ team and Charlee W-S and Kali R for the girls’ team. Congratulations to these outstanding Governor track and field athletes on a well-deserved honor!

The boys’ team finished in 7th at the State Track and Field Meet- just 3 points out of a podium finish. The Govs had many placers throughout the meet and lots of top notch performances. We are proud of our boys’ team and excited for what’s to come!

Congratulations to the girls’ track and field team scoring 63 points at the State AA Track & Field Meet finishing in 5th place overall! What an amazing group of girls who competed their hearts out all weekend! Way to go girls!

The foursome of Carter S, George R, Hekmat, & Carson closed out the State Track & Field Meet by finishing in 4th place in the 4x400 m relay! This group ran a gutsy race exemplifying what Governor track & field is all about. Way to go, guys!

Kali and Charlee do it AGAIN— this time in the 200 m dash! Kali is your State Champion running a PR and Charlee finishes in 4th tying her PR! Big team points too that helped catapult the team’s finish! Super job girls!!

It’s a 6th place finish for Eladio today at the State AA Track and Field Meet! Way to go, Eladio!!

What a race for Charlee W-S in the 400 m dash at the State AA Track Meet!! Not only is Charlee a State Champion in the event, but she is the gold medal winner- having the fastest time throughout all classes!! Outstanding performance, Charlee!!

Way to go Karson W on finishing in 6th at the State AA Track Meet!! Super job, Karson!!

Governor senior EJ B “shot puts” his way into a 5th place finish at the State AA Track and Field Meet! Congrats to EJ on an outstanding athletic career!

The 4x100 relays were 🔥🔥🔥at the State Meet this weekend!! The boys’ team of Karson W, George R, Carter M, & Carson S finished in a close 5th & the girls’ team of Emlyn, Lennix, Brooke, & Kali finished as runner-ups in a NEW school record time! Nice work 4x1’s!!
