Over the summer, I wrote two APIs that serve the pricing and portfolio data that you see on the Meridian app Essentially they stitch together a few different data providers, add a caching layer, and standardize the data types for the mobile app to consume This week I had Claude Code write a complete spec of these services, and then migrate them from Python to Rust to improve serde speeds and decrease memory usage I also added a dashboard where we can see at a glance if any of the endpoints are running slowly and quickly see the response formats (like Swagger) There is still a last mile problem of figuring out how to rigorously test these new services and make sure they have all the edge cases covered. But for read-only services that do not touch any user funds, delegating this type of work to an agent frees up our team massively to work on actual user problems

If you aren’t already, I highly recommend figuring out how you can incorporate AI into your day-to-day. Automate what you can. Use it to increase your productivity. It’s only going to get smarter and faster. If you’re leveraging it, that can be to your advantage.
