Reports claim Sony believes it doesn’t need to stay in close contact with PlayStation fans because it trusts the strength of the PlayStation brand and the loyalty of its community.
According to the reports, Sony expects players to keep buying its games as the company moves toward a digital-only future.
They also believe the backlash over ending physical PlayStation game production will eventually stop and most players will eventually adapt to buying games digitally.

After nearly 435,000 miles (700,000 km), I’ve finally retired my 2013 @Tesla Model S. Black Mamba was a great car that got me through my early days in real estate, and so many road trips over multiple states.

I've been a Tesla convert for years. Model X, Model S Plaid, Cyberbeast. But the Model Y we just got still blew me away! It feels so tight, so well built, so right. Unbelievably good car and good value. It sending an Aston Martin DBX 707 and Taycan Turbo S out of the fleet!

Porsche is having a tough time selling cars right now. They just released their first-half 2026 delivery figures today. • 122,306 cars delivered, which is a 16% decline YoY. This is their weakest H1 in 6 years. • North America sales -13% YoY • China sales -32% YoY • Europe sales -14% YoY • Germany sales -6% YoY • Overseas & Emerging Markets sales -18% YoY By Model: • Taycan EV sales -25% YoY • Macan sales (EV and gas) -22% YoY • Cayenne sales (EV and gas) -9% YoY • 911 sales +19% YoY Yikes.

A lot of people ask me what will I do with Playstation future? Well as far as I can, buy physical where I can and keep playing games.
I still have a switch 2 and PC, I will support physical games and build my collection's as far as I can.
I will voice my opinion to SONY as long as I can that people like me want physical discs. I can still enjoy gaming for what it is 2026/2027. After that? I have no idea
