@Jessethefree It shouldn't, but you have so many pseudo-intellectual people in the libertarian movement who huff their own farts on social media that they're just as insufferable as the lefties and MAGA.
English

@burnthalies @JackalopeRider1 @MentisWave If you cannot live in realism, then keep your mouth shut and stop antagonizing the people who are trying to bring the ideal to the real. You can thank me and others later when the people who are trying to take practical action succeed in giving you your paradise.
English

@burnthalies @JackalopeRider1 @MentisWave Once again, you try to force me into a box I do not belong in. I never claimed to be that. I like Hoppe because I agree with his policies on private cities, right of forcible removal, and in general cleaning up the loose loopholes that other branches of libertarianism has.
English

@PigSneezeSplat @JackalopeRider1 @MentisWave Hoppean who thinks argumentation ethics is midwit word salad.
English

@burnthalies @JackalopeRider1 @MentisWave BZZT, sorry, I specifically said "realistic". I've already looked through that. There's no way you can take that approach currently. The Democratic party already will block anyone not in their hivemind and look at what MAGA did to Massie.
Try again. Use your own words, big boy.
English

@PigSneezeSplat @JackalopeRider1 @MentisWave i wonder...maybe the guy who wrote the theory you claim to subscribe to? 🤔

@burnthalies @JackalopeRider1 @MentisWave Tick-tock, Criticism King. Please tell me how your superior way will pave a realistic roadmap to implementing libertarianism into modern society. Be aware that your roadmap must be realistic and cannot contain things like "getting 50% of America to vote a third party president".
English

@PigSneezeSplat @JackalopeRider1 @MentisWave "I wasn't aware that because I most align with a philosopher that I had to idolize every tenet of his policy." and his only tenet of his major philosophical achievement is aggression is unjustifiable.
English

@burnthalies @JackalopeRider1 @MentisWave Still only hearing criticism from the person who has offered zero solutions in alternative. Yet to hear an actual meaningful alternative way to implement.
Or are you going to simply run away now with your little perceived social media victory?
English

@burnthalies @JackalopeRider1 @MentisWave the reason libertarianism is stuck forever as a joke in the minds of any people who are serious about political discussion. Libertarianism could solve so many problems, even in partial implementation, but god forbid we change a facet in implementation to adapt to current policy.
English

@_ShaneGill_ Dude, just because your idol Hasan Piker is getting squeezed doesn't mean you have to take out your anger on randos online.
You're not Mike from PA and we're not a couch.

Right wing chuds responded to this saying “b-b-but Japan is right-wing.”
No country is a monolith and the left-wing of countries produce the majority of the media. The only thing the right consistently produce is shitty podcasts.
Shane Gill@_ShaneGill_
How can anyone be a fan of anime and be right-wing? Most of the narratives fly in the face of right-wing ideology.
English

@JackalopeRider1 @burnthalies @MentisWave The uniparty we're dealing with in the American government is already using democracy to consolidate power into the federal government in the first place. If that's where the ball is rolling, roll with it and use it to our advantage.
English

@JackalopeRider1 @burnthalies @MentisWave roll back policies that are detrimental to a libertarian society, and then use the power of the monarchy to systematically cede power to whatever highest bidder private sector agent will take it over. (Courts, roads, prisons, mail, education, etc.) (2/2)
English

One of my biggest redpills was finding out just how many people do not understand this.
They actually think infinity free stuff to infinity uneducated third worlders could work if we just tax the rich more or something.
These people number in the hundreds of millions.

“You cannot simultaneously have a welfare state and free immigration.” — Milton Friedman
English

@burnthalies @JackalopeRider1 @MentisWave I'm sorry that I don't engage in egregious word salad tactics that a college freshman engages in to pad their paper. It's the sign of a midwit to just throw big terms around acting like they sound smart.
English

@PigSneezeSplat @JackalopeRider1 @MentisWave "Hoppeans" dont even know what transcendental pragmatics is, they just look at you like this.

English

@burnthalies @JackalopeRider1 @MentisWave It is very much related, but I'm starting to lose patience with the character limit of this godforsaken website, where nuance is stripped away in favor of brainless blurbs.
English

@burnthalies @JackalopeRider1 @MentisWave I say that in relation to the fact we do not have freedom of association in America thanks to the Civil Rights act of 1965.
English

@burnthalies @JackalopeRider1 @MentisWave It is not arguing for aggression to enforce your community, though. What IS aggression is the state allowing an open borders policy and allowing a free flow of people who do not respect your community or your property rights to move in next to you.
Nice word salad, though.
English

@JackalopeRider1 @burnthalies @MentisWave There would be no "public property" in an ideal country.
I assume you're asking about ideals and not realistic implementation, though? Or are you asking about how to transition to a state-run society we live in now to a private-society of libertarianism? Not sure your angle.
English

@PigSneezeSplat @burnthalies @MentisWave Pray tell, how do you decide how to manage the "public property" of the taxpayers?
English

@JackalopeRider1 @burnthalies @MentisWave Yes? Tyranny by the majority is still tyranny. Not sure how it relates, but I'll bite.
English

@burnthalies @JackalopeRider1 @MentisWave We can argue all day about what the ideal policy is, but in the world we live in, you can't just say "no state, let's go!" and expect the current society with its current culture to survive, let alone thrive
It'd be akin to when slavery was ended and the former slaves were lost.
English

@burnthalies @JackalopeRider1 @MentisWave And that's the difference between a realist like myself and an idealist like you. Go ahead and wax poetic about what the ideal world looks like.
I'm going to work on figuring out how to bring Hoppe's ideal to reality in a way that can be sold to the public, piece by piece.
