Congo have beat Nigeria!
But that may not be as good for us at it seems.
Different reports are saying that with Congo will pass us on the fifa rankings with their most recent wins over Cameroon and Nigeria(Draw/win after pens)
The point difference between us and Congo will be small, but it seems like it will barely NOT be enough after all.
If so, we will need to rely on the complicated CONCACAF path.

If Iraq manage to beat UAE there's a good chance we are seeded in the playoff draw for March! The two best ranked teams in the playoffs skip the semi-final completely and move straight to the final against a worse ranked team. For that to happen, we need to see the following of either one of two scenarios: 1: Congo🇨🇩 beat Nigeria🇳🇬 in the CAF playoff. If Nigeria beat Congo, things get more difficult. What we would need is 2: Neither Panama🇵🇦, nor Costa Rica🇨🇷 to get to the Playoffs! There's multiple ways for that to happen, and it gets complicated. I'll explain them in this thread. Data centers currently predict us to be seeded and skip the semi final. This would also mean we will not face Nigeria (the other predicted seeded team) in said final, which could mean a lot for our world cup chances!

@IraqFootballPod Sure, Iraq could’ve done better and the fault is on us in Iraq. But let’s not pretend AFC didn’t clearly favor Qatar and Saudi. It worked. We should aim to qualify anyway, yes. But we can’t just ignore blatant injustice. This can't keep happening.

Welcome to the AFC Mafia - Both Qatar and Saudi Arabia qualify for the 2026 World Cup, whilst benefiting from home advantage for both games. Both also played their first games on Wednesday and had 5 days rest across their games.
Iraq and the UAE both only had two.
This is supposed to be neutral match but Saudi Arabia and Qatar both had unfair advantages in their groups.
Focus now turns to Round 5.
