If anyone is making a list of games that don't work with this feature, add New Pokemon Snap. I've been testing games I own and Snap stays in handheld.

[Nintendo Switch 2 System Update] Version 22.0.0 adds "Handheld Mode Boost". This will make Switch 1 games think that they are in TV mode even when in handheld. Games can run at higher resolutions in TV mode, taking better advantage of the Switch 2's 1080p screen.

@Dmansuperich I think Snap might be somewhere above 720p in handheld just because the smaller elements of the UI look cleaner to me than with other Switch 1 games running on Switch 2. I'm probably wrong, though

i keep seeing people get tripped up by this so
the top USB C port on Switch 2 does NOT support DisplayPort Alternate Mode meaning it is not capable of passing video to any kind of dock (official or otherwise)

@wariocolosseum Might have something to do with the 16GB and 32GB cartridge rollout, since some games are beginning to release on those and they're cheaper (Mio: Memories in Orbit is $30 physically on Switch 2). Fever may have just missed out on the cutoff
