Christ. 160 is way past past narc depth and into CNS oxygen toxicity range. Been diving for most of my life and the deepest I've ever been was 210 on trimix and that was incredibly intimidating. I don't even go past 40 without nitrox. Can't imagine 160 on air. Those poor people.

It’s not the end of the world and it will be harder for new players to get them anyway so what’s the big deal? 🫤

ok so if they Aren't rerunning the 2.0 myths alongside the 3.0 myths then...what exactly is gonna happen with the 2.0 myths 😭? i wanna be hopeful and believe theyll get added to the standard pool but at the same time i cant bring myself to believe infold would be that generous

So in a collection of 120,000 animals, a little over 1000 or so have been rescued which is....almost one percent!
GA is a great, modern facility that is very conservation forward but.....they're not made of sprinkles and rainbow dust and they do not have 120,000 rescued animals.

I would love to see someone smarter than me actually go through Georgia Aquarium's animal collection and see how many were actually rescued. Even excluding fish (which is being generous btw), that number has to be incredibly small and probably largely consists of the otters

@StagSteak All of their animals are rescues that can't be released into the wild and they specially make their tanks and enrichment for their species! Their conservation efforts are amazing. <3

@Sport_orca1988 There is only one rescued beluga in human care and he resides at SeaWorld San Antonio. Georgia Aquarium is a great facility but not without flaws. They had 18 belugas captured from the wild between 2006-2011 but the imports were blocked by the US government.

@StagSteak The Belugas at The GA aquarium are either rescued or born in human care therefore can’t be released. Also the GA Aquarium is AZA accredited therefore the animals are given the best care possible and are not abused, the aquarium also does great things for ocean conservation.

The Georgia aquarium is cool, but sadly I cannot support them because buying a ticket supports dolphin and whale captivity 💔💔

I loved her so much. I should have been a much better friend to her but I was so preoccupied and overwhelmed with my college life and covid that I didn't talk to her as much as I should have. I was so young and stupid. She was so sweet and full of love. She should still be here.
