This may be the fastest race in swimming history… James "The Missile" Magnussen is 6'6", 35 yrs old, 2x world champion, and Olympic medalist. I'm commenting the @enhanced_games tomorrow night where James is competing. Insane stats on him... #1 His resting heart rate is 28 bpm (cleared by his medical team). For context, elite endurance athletes are typically 40–50 bpm. Mine is around 39-42 bpm. #2 Last year he was 253 lbs. This was after his first cycle of performance-enhancing-drugs. He got too big. He was sinking in the water. He's down 40 lbs this year to try and hit the sweet-spot of muscle and buoyancy. #3 He's so big he can barely fit into his enhanced suit. Enhanced Games swimmers wear full-body polyurethane "supersuits" that World Aquatics banned in 2010. These are the same suits that broke 43 world records in 2009. #4 He came out of a 7-yr retirement for this. He retired from competition in 2019. Tomorrow night, I'll be reviewing their protocols and measurements live.

It’s in fact only gotten worse since I first raised the question. Now in Falcons you can most definitely argue there’s enough firepower around him, to make up for some of the gap. However I tend to belive in modern day and age cs2 there’s a bare minimum output needed, not to be a liability. Karrigan is below that threshold right now for me. I have no doubt it’s possible for him to raise above it, but 0.83 rating for the year is not enough. You will be a liability on the CT side, regardless of how you sacrifice. Something to look out for during the Cologne major. If I know Karrigan right, he will grind the hell out of it leading into Cologne to make sure that output becomes better.
Jacob “Pimp” Winneche@PimpWinneche

I admire Karrigan an awful lot. His longevity, the ability to remian on the top in 3 different versions of Counter Strike is truly unique. With that said, that does not mean he stays immune to criticism, and I think it's apropoiate to point out his individual struggles. As an IGL that sacrifice for your team non stop, it's to be expected that your level and productivity drops off a lot. However there's a limit to how much you can allow yourself to drop off, before you become a liability. Recently Karrigan has struggled a bit more than usual putting out numbers on the server. In 4 out of the last 5 events he's posted a rating below 0.80, which to me is where the limit is at. Is he at fault for FaZe not winning more atm? Not necessarily no, but is he as big a part of it as the likes of Rain, broky, etc? Absolutely. Touchy subject, but I think he is becoming more and more of a liability, and that needs to change as soon as possible.

Just cause you don’t process the capability to understand the nuances of a relatively simple post, doesn’t make it shit. The original post is from mid 2025, and today’s post takes into account the entire year. Your peanut brain somehow making that into “jUsT tOdaYs gRanD fInaL” is a YOU problem. Now apologies on my end for using you as an example, but… for a guy who makes a living on my 10th year doing this, it doesn’t get tiresome to just ignore and accept guys like you run their mouth. You wanna engage in a conversation, discussing or present a different look in the matter? Go ahead, always open to that. You wanna slam keys on your keyboard while hardly grasping what you do? Find somewhere else.

@PimpWinneche love these shit takes, when your arguments doesn't fit to anything in what happened in today's GF. Mentioning CT side where he wasn't even worst player, forget about abyssmal T side calls. And cherry on top is ofc evaluate IGL based on rating, by top 0.000.3% player in past 😭

@PimpWinneche @kiotyCS Its possibly also due to traffic. Closing roads in central Milano on a work day, might not be something the local government want.

I wonder how nuanced planing routes for cycling grand tours is? The giro d italia has planned what arguably is the least exciting stage possible…. On a Sunday? A giro that doesn’t take place during common holidays like the Tour De France. Sundays known for peak viewership, peak turnaround of crowds. In other words the best possible window for your sponsors, and organisations to showcase themselves. Again, route planning, balance of the course, something for each rider type etc. I get it’s not easy to please everyone, but it does seem strange to me regardless. In esports EVERYTHING is optimized to the smallest detail when possible. Schedules, start time of games, based on what region X Y C team is from to maximize viewership. I can’t help to think there’s a massive potential currently not being utilized in cycling, and in particular the Giro.

I was thinking about that angle as well, but wouldn’t it have been either way? If it finishes 17:30 local time, the streets will be filled regardless of it being a week-day. However viewership wise on television, which is the biggest source of revenue down the line, and where the products first and foremost manifest itself takes a big hit with this course.

Falcons down 1-2 vs Legacy in the CAC BO5 grand-final. Legacy have really turned it around since a poor IEM Rio showing. Good at IEM Atlanta, and excellent so far at CAC. Falcons have looked solid up until this grand-final, surely they can let another trophy slip 🏆?!

There is different ways of losing, and this one ain’t it Falcons. MOUZ up 1-0 in their semi-final vs Falcons, let’s see what Karrigan can cook up for Dust2 and potentially Nuke as a decider !
