In this time when the vast majority of the fan base is as uninvested as we have been for 10 years, it's time to take off the beer goggles on 34 and ask if you really believe he's a 16 win Captian vs what the return would be during an off season where he still has value.

@Pinchy_24 I feel it's only bleak if they chicken out. Be bold. Manage the assets. If they want to hire a forward thinking management group, getting value for diminishing assets is the first priority. It's only scary if they don't imo

@Pinchy_24 Five teams is fine. People will slurp him. Everyone believes the problem is the market, not the players. If he walks in 2 years you have nothing. If he re-signs in 2 years you have a broken Captian who can't lead. Now is the time.

Conversation I’ve had w/ others so will post: Leafs def better to lose on way in. No 1st aside, lower in standing equals higher odds of lottery balls taking you to pick #1 or #2, but league standings also determine draft order in every ensuing round. Bad juju, but yeah: losing still better 🤷🏻♂️(which sucks!)

Big week for Kamloops Logan Stankoven fans. Hurricanes play in Vancouver Wednesday night. Second attempt at this after a deadline deal last year sent him from the Stars to the ‘Canes on the eve of the Van game. I’m told “100’s” making the trek.
