@whereisdaz Yes, a lot of friends and acquaintances in other states are cancelling pre-Christmas events or having to iso. For all that McGowan is mocked by other states for keeping borders closed until Feb, it is nice getting Christmas and NY celebrations in (hopefully) before Rona hits WA.

Embarrassing and preposterous! If your pronunciation of Fok Hing Gin comes out sounding like Fucking Gin then you've mispronounced it from the get go. Ruling the name of a Hong Kong street as being offensive is culturally insensitive and awful. Source: I am a Cantonese speaker.

A few paediatricians argue that kids don't need vax cos covid is "mostly mild".
BUT nearly all diseases that we vax for are mild for most kids.
Get out of the way & let us protect the little ones, esp those with underlying medical problems, who are just as deserving as anyone.

Hey WA remember how the men in government cut the pay of female rape response doctors at SARC?
The Industrial Relations Commission said that was the wrong thing to do and overturned the decision.
Why do men of government do this & fight the decision in the Commission?

People talk a lot of crap about scientists not being able to communicate their work. I interview climate researchers day in/day out, and their explanations are almost always lucid and concise. Corporate and finance ppl, on the other hand, spout absolute unholy _gibberish_ at me

Fun fact... Perth is the only place I've ever had my car broken into (lost count of how many times) and the only place I've had my house robbed (three times)... and I've lived in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Newcastle, Adelaide, Busselton and a few other places.

Just found out Wesley's parents are COVID positive. Both fully💉& have mild symptoms. Looks like🦠has reached us. Unfortunately we won't be getting fully vaccinated together with 14 days in iso for Wesley, likely to turn positive. Getting added to our data in a not so great way😟
