Such actions create fear and instability among the management of Darbar Sahib and the Sikh sangat. At a time when a “police state”–like approach is already being witnessed across Punjab, the government and the DGP of Punjab Police are sternly cautioned that carrying out such actions at Sikh institutions—especially Sri Darbar Sahib, where lakhs of devotees from India and abroad come daily for darshan—without taking the concerned institutions into confidence is utterly shameful and unacceptable.
