We’ve had quite the day at Pingo Towers, we’re having new fences so the garden is a free for all for local cats. The Angry Bengal tried to follow Frank through the cat flap and she threw paws at him and smacked him on the nose. Here she is, unbothered by her violence.

Having the garden completely stripped out and redone and the bloke I’ve hired (who is *fantastic*) is called Wallace. He turned up today with his mate to strip the patio out and I instinctively said “do you want a brew, Gromit?”

Been slapped with the traditional post teaching cold and chest infection, so have made a vat of chana masala and Bombay aloo in the vain hope I might be able to taste something.

@HurricaneHam I got the Yum Asia mini panda. It’s great if you aren’t cooking for a whole family as it’ll do small portions. I think I paid about 99 quid and I use it at least three times a week. It also is about the size of a football so it doesn’t take up loads of space.

I’m a white Brit (*waves hello*) and I live for rice more than any other carb I’ve ever met. The rice cooker has been a game changer for all the reasons below and also I can steam dumplings, veg, fish at the same time as cooking the rice. It’s the top tier of gadgets.

A single button cooks the rice perfectly and then keeps it warm without any need to be tending to it and the pot in it is pretty easy to clean, as well. Overall they are just incredibly convenient if you make rice a ton.
