We have repeatedly warned successive governments that IAPT would be politically used to give good numbers whilst tier 2, 3 and 4 would suffer. This happened. Trust the canaries at the coalface. Doing one thing effects elsewhere. Having said that we all need more money so both/and

The NHS is letting people with severe mental illness down. NHS orgs are focusing their work on mild/moderate mental illness to the detriment of people with severe mental illness.

I’ve had feedback from my recent Dclin interview, there were 2 panels, the 1st deemed me ready for training, the 2nd didn’t, the second panel was the panel in which I spoke the most about my lived exp. They said they were worried I wouldn’t meet the demands of training

This Brene Brown cartoon on #Empathy is a perfect way of describing the work of the work of #LXP staff - in particular ones who work directly with service users eg. #PeerSupportWorkers, LXP Researchers & Peer Group Facilitators. Empathy = Connection. LXP work is Connection.
