Why is no one doing anything about the staffing crisis within the NHS?

I went to my GP surgery for a suspected infected cyst - I got told if the antibiotics don’t work then to go to A&E as primary care cannot lance it. Surely a cyst is NOT an accident nor an emergency? 🤷🏼‍♀️

I’m planning on doing the non-medical prescribing course next year. Does anyone have any advice/tips? I’ve been told that the course is heavily physical health based - I’m mental health trained so this is something that worries me!
