@arjunkalyan555 @ChessMenorca @EmilSutovsky I think first of all such walkovers should be calculated for FIDE rating and norms as normal games. Secondly, if the case is not sufficiently explained it should be noted by FIDE and if it repeats it would be fair to give more serious penalty.

It is very sad to see people missing their norm opportunities because of forfeits, and it is unfortunately common in big open events. I can count 16 forfeits in the last round of @ChessMenorca. Is there something that can be done for these situations @EmilSutovsky?

@GMPeteWells @chesscoachandra @JonathanLevitt7 @GMJacobAagaard I had a similar position in my game (against Damir Mravunac in Zagreb 2017) and it was even more tricky as there is additional layer to be solved. btw. in my game I failed to find the solution over the board :)

@anishgiri @chessable Being the author of one of the shortest LTR (~250 trainable variations) and as a player who constantly forgets even own lines I fully agree! Btw. Your Dragon course is a real gem

Once again heard that my @chessable course is smaller than the usual LTR on the platform. It's not me, it's that most authors don't know which variations are essential to know and when to end them. In fact this is one of the hardest skills also for chess trainers and seconds.

The A group featured 106 players, with nearly 800 participants from 33 federations across all groups. Although I wish I had performed better, I’m truly happy to have taken part in such a well-organized event - Cracovia (it was 35th edition!)

Would you exchange on b6 and play Nd3 and make a draw or would you go 1.Rg1 Nxf2 2.Nxe6+ fxe6 3.Rg7+ Kd6 4.a6? I thought for some minutes and went for a draw. Was it a good decision?

@DeepShort7 Yes, 1...Rc3 is totally fine when Black even ends up with an extra pawn (the position is drawish though). I lost too much time on my previos moves (being angry I spoilt the position) that here I was in time trouble and I played 1...Qe6 which loses on the spot.

@PiotrNguyen I think 1...Rc3 is better due to 2.Rxd5 Rxe3 3.d7 not coming with an attack on the c8 rook.

I lost the 2nd game where I played risky opening (as usual) and after complex middlegame I took over the advantage. Unfortunately, I played one wrong move after which my advantage evaporated, but not being able to accept the change I went insane... How to play as Black here?

I lost this position in 2 moves when it was still totally OK (although I already made a few wrong decisions). There are many reasons why #chess is difficult, but one of them is that we all do simplest mistakes when things are not going our way. #chesspunks

The tournament is played in a nice hotel and I am very happy to see players from 22 federations playing in the A group. I have 11th starting number out of 106 players (there are nearly 800 participants when counting other groups).
