A wave of global talent has graduated from the Queensland Police Service Academy today as the largest ever cohort of international and interstate police officers inducted. The 78 officers, with interstate or international policing experience, have completed a special entry 18-week Police Abridged Competency Education program. A Queensland firefighter who was critically injured while responding to a massive factory fire south of Brisbane yesterday has died. @QldFES confirmed Izabella Nash, a First Class Firefighter who has served since 2014, passed away overnight from her injuries. Lia Drew, a Senior Firefighter who was also injured while fighting the early morning blaze, remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition. "The thoughts of all QFES members are with Izzy’s and Lia’s families, friends and fellow crew members," QFES said in a statement. Investigations into the incident have now commenced.

Jock Zonfrillo, a host on 10's MasterChef Australia passed away in Melbourne yesterday aged 46. The Scottish presenter and former chef joined the Channel 10 show in 2019, alongside Melissa Leong and Andy Allen. He is survived by his wife Lauren Fried and his four children. The Zonfrillo family released a statement on his sudden passing. “With completely shattered hearts and without knowing how we can possibly move through life without him, we are devastated to share that Jock passed away yesterday. “So many words can describe him, so many stories can be told, but at this time we’re too overwhelmed to put them into words.
