A White Man is disgusted by what he sees happening in Black Communities. And as he should, he calls out the members of the Black community. This is absolutely pathetic. I have been in Mecklenburg County Courtrooms and I can confirm that many Black Judges would have told the family members of the victims that only 2 of them could speak about their deceased love one, read the sentence and told the defendant good luck. I saw it play out over and over again. The Black Collective; the Boula' don't care about Black Lives, not really. But I watched in disbelief as all the Black Female judges who were members of sororities gathered in front of the courthouse to pose for a pic. May I add as people were trying to enter the courthouse to handle business. Yes, I was pretty disappointed and disgusted. They are in positions to greatly impact change but are more concerned about the social status of their cliques. Our children; our babies. We can't continue to allow hate and bitterness to destroy what others sacrificed their lives to build; a future for our children. I am aware of the repercussions of my speaking out about this. The repercussions started before I left Mecklenburg County Courthouse and that's ok. I am at peace with using my voice. I honestly believe I have a higher calling on my life, from a higher source that doesn't have anything to do with money or status. I am not in a position to create change like many others are but don't care or have the desire to do so, but I will continue to speak out loudly and bodly to say this is not acceptable in a civilized society to be burying Black Children at the rate we are, over nonsense and foolishness in this country. Change must happen.

I got custody of my little sister when she was 14. She’s 24 now. Yesterday she texted me, “Check your bank. And don’t argue.” 😭 I opened it… and she sent money for groceries. Said, “Buy something nice too. Not just bills.” Ever since she started working, she randomly sends rice deliveries to the house, pays the internet before I even notice it’s due, shows up with takeout on nights she knows I’m tired. I never ask. I don’t expect it. She just does it. Last week I saw her fixing the electric fan for our younger cousins, teaching them how to budget their allowance, moving through life like someone who learned responsibility early. And she did. Because we grew up together. Two kids pretending to be strong. Two kids figuring it out without a manual. So let me applaud us quietly. I was a teenager playing parent. She was a child forced to grow up fast. But somehow… we didn’t break. We built something. And we made it.
