The great thing about learning a language PROPERLY By that I mean downloading it into your long-term memory Is that you can go MONTHS or even YEARS without hearing it and you’ll still remember it (Not recommended, of course) But it’s good it know it doesn’t just fly away

Delighted to announce that Lamisse El-Qarra passed her PhD viva today. She has been working on drug formulation in supramolecular hydrogels, gaining an understanding of how to load, release, shape and pattern our gels with a variety of active pharmaceutical ingredients.

Dear Italians, Da noi (Inghilterra) a scuola ci facevano mangiare questo…. They gave us this for lunch. Il re della pasta, Pasta King. Con la pasta scotta, tutta l’acqua che scorreva in fondo… overcooked and watery. 40% pasta 50% water 7% sauce 3% cheese I still ate it🤷🏼‍♀️

Our latest research paper is a collaboration with scientists in Finland led by @MaijaNissinen. The team formulated peptide hydrogels with graphene oxide and explored the antibacterial properties of the resulting gel composites. pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…

This was the first time we'd used gellan gum in our hybrid gels. We were delighted that by blending it with our gelator, we could create stem cell compatible beads combining the stiffness of gellan gum with the shear stability & function of our own system. pubs.rsc.org/en/content/art…
